A gentle reminder that meditation doesn’t have to involve ‘zoning out’, or branding ourselves giant failures because our mind continues to race when we try to make it still.
It also doesn’t require us to renounce all of our belongings, or become a monk living in the mountains.
To meditate is simply to take a moment to connect home, like an orchestra tuning before its symphony.
To ask: how have I landed today? In this heart, in this mind, in this body? What can I offer today? Where can I make space today? Whether we do it for an hour or for just a minute while we wait for the kettle to boil — to listen is to create space.
Therein lies the sweetness.
